    DMP

    Data Management Platform

    data

A legacy platform that aggregates and segments mostly third-party cookie-based audience data for media buying — increasingly replaced by CDPs in cookieless environments.

    What is a DMP?

A Data Management Platform historically aggregated third-party audience data (mostly cookie-based) for programmatic targeting. With Safari and Firefox blocking third-party cookies and Chrome restricting them, DMP utility has eroded sharply.

Most enterprises are migrating from DMP to CDP or hybrid first-party stacks. C Wire was built post-DMP-era and relies on contextual signals, persona modeling and SDA — not third-party cookie pools.
