My Impressions of DEX 2024
This year’s DEX Conference was an absolute highlight on my calendar, especially because C Wire had the exciting opportunity to contribute two talks!

When I arrived at the Frame in Zurich, the scene was already buzzing with energy. A long line stretched outside the venue, a clear indicator of the high interest in this year’s event. Among the crowd, I spotted numerous familiar faces from agencies and advertisers. The atmosphere was vibrant, and even before stepping into the conference halls, I could feel the day’s dynamic and well-connected energy. It was the perfect way to kick off a day of engaging encounters and inspiring insights.

A Strong Opening: GenerAItions
The day began in the largest cinema hall of the Frame with an opening speech followed by an inspiring talk by Oded Lavie (Publicis Groupe). His presentation, "GenerAItions – How technology shapes generational expectations for the future", was not only relevant but deeply captivating. Lavie explored how technologies, especially AI, are shaping generational expectations and societal trends—a topic that sparked meaningful discussions among attendees.

C Wire Brings AI Into Everyday Work
Following this fantastic start, I was especially excited for our first talk. Rui presented on how AI transforms daily workflows, showcasing practical examples and diverse AI tools. The audience was hooked, and during the breaks, it was fascinating to hear how attendees were integrating AI into their processes, from workflow automation to creative ideation.

Cases, Insights, and Gamification
After a delicious lunch, another highlight awaited me: a talk from cptr, a company I worked at during my early career in campaign management. Their presentation on recent case studies and their outstanding results brought back memories of my time there and offered fresh insights into impactful campaign strategies.

In the afternoon, it was finally time for our workshop. Martin, together with Dominik Schaller (Swiss Post) and Lena Rüdisüli (Havas), took the stage to present our case study, "Spielerisch, kreativ und interaktiv: Wie Marketers mit Gamified Ads auffallen und in Erinnerung bleiben". The session highlighted how gamification offers innovative ways to engage audiences and leaves a lasting impression. Watching the room fill up and seeing the genuine interest in our work was an incredible experience. The positive feedback we received afterward was the cherry on top.

An Inspiring Atmosphere
DEX 2024 was a day brimming with fresh perspectives and insights. From innovative partners like Google, Goldbach Group, and Ringier Advertising to stimulating discussions on AI, programmatic advertising, and data-driven campaigns, the event’s diversity was truly remarkable.

We wrapped up the day with a relaxing aperitif, reflecting on the day’s many takeaways and enjoying conversations with new and familiar faces alike.

DEX 2024 demonstrated how dynamic and innovative the digital marketing world is. I can’t wait to apply the insights I gained to future projects and am already looking forward to the next DEX!
