Background
The program provides health care access to women to provide prenatal care and other necessary medical services while the woman is pregnant.

The AIM program is a statewide maternity insurance program for uninsured pregnant women, as well as women with maternity deductibles or co-pays beyond $500.00 (for women who do not have no-cost Medi-cal).

It also covers hospital delivery and the child for a certain time period.
