Since 1964, Caltech's Beckman Auditorium has played host to a variety
of events ranging from Judy Collins to the Capitol Steps to the famed
Coleman Chamber Music Series. Regular events include performing arts,
science-for-the-layman lectures, travel films, and two chamber music series.
Past special events have included presentations by David Hockney, Warren
Buffett, and others.
The Comedy Clinic
at the Ice House
Dramatis Personae, the resident theatre company at Descanso Gardens in
La Canada Flintridge, is a classically based theatrical troupe of professional
actors. Outdoor evening performances are held in the summer on the Sherman
Bridging the best of Southern California's "club scene" to Glendale, every

This Orchestra consists of 85 talented students from the City of Glendale

Jazz Dance L.A. Foundation, a non-profit organization is dedicated to
promoting the unique art of jazz dance, through public performance and
other special events. An annual concert featuring works by professional
choreographers and dancers is held in Glendale every July.
The Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop

Since 1968, this group of composers, lyricists and book writers has worked
to meet the highest standards of writing for musical theatre. The Workshop
regularly presents free public reading of new shows in Glendale.
The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra has achieved international recognition
as one of the world's foremost musical ensembles, and continues its tradition
of excellence under the leadership of Principle Conductor and Artistic
Advisor Iona Brown during 1996/97 and begins a new era with Jeffrey Kahane
as Music Director with the 1997/98 season.
